Jason began serving Berea in February of 2014. He is from Virginia Beach, but came most recently from Newsoms Baptist Church where he had served as their Pastor since 2007. Jason has a passion for preaching and helping lead God's people where He desires them to go. He also loves reading, baseball and coffee and tries to mix the three whenever possible.
Jason is a graduate of Asbury College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Jason and his wife, Chellie have been married for 21 years. Chellie enjoys music and has a master's degree from Southwestern (where she and Jason met) in that field. Chellie and Jason have three children: Joshua (18), Emma Lee (13) and Samuel (11).
Together the Wise family is excited to be in Elizabeth City and are anxiously anticipating what God has in store for Berea Baptist.
